Mela is a chickenhead
My friend Andrew once challenged me to write a song.
Well, Andrew, I finally did. It was composed in desperation one day, when I was stuck with two cranky kids in the car in the Beer Store parking lot.
It's called, "Mela is a chickenhead" and it's been a favourite every since, mostly because it involves participation and animal sounds:

It's no 'Jenny's in the Backseat of the Car', but it's pretty catchy. We may have to look into negotiating musical rights.
And I totally knew 'cat' was going to come after 'dog'.
Yes, happy kids this morning. Didn't even have to dose either of them yet, either! We'll see how the day unfolds, though ... I don't want to jinx but I think the second front tooth might finally be through!!!
Haven't kicked your tune yet (speakers are packed away) but my feeling is that moms make up some pretty good tunes. I'm sure Chickenhead rocks.
I was kind of kidding about writing a song though (you'll see what I mean when you hear it). Really, the best part of Chickenhead is the fact that you can sing it quietly or really loud and Mela likes making the animal sounds.
I also just composed a song while talking to Chris a couple minutes ago. It's called, "How do you solve a problem like placenta?" I won't be posting it here, though.
