Busy Summer Days
We've had a couple of busy days here lately - visited with Allison and Noah, went to the guru, saw friends from our childbirth class, etc.
Amelia is taking it all in stride - she's been very amiable and easy to please these days. She pretty much only cries when she's tired or hungry (sometimes she's both - that's fun) and likes to chatter to herself and even sometimes laugh a bit.
She has even started to have a bit of a schedule, which is great. Not much of one, really, but at least she's started to go to bed at around the same time, and earlier than she used to. It was from talking to friends with babies the same age, actually, that we discovered that maybe her midnight bedtime was unnaturally late (it felt pretty late to us!) so we've been working to get her to go to sleep for the night by 10:30 / 11 pm. If you've met Amelia, you know that you can't really make her do anything she doesn't want to, but so far it's going pretty well! It means that I have to go to sleep with her at that time but the extra sleep has been nice!
Here are pics of Noah and Amelia. How cute?! In the second one, Noah is giving kisses to AJ and she's too cool.
As Allison said, isn't it crazy to think that we made these two people who can interact with each other? Below is an old high school picture of Allison and me, about to go to a big party. I wish I could go back in time and show myself these pictures. It seems like a fairy tale sometimes (mostly when the baby isn't crying).
