Summertime ... (mostly)
Lovely time vacationing.
My family rented a cottage (in the same park as their trailer) and we spent a week enjoying the bounty of nature, including a good amount of wind and rain. We got one nice sunny afternoon though so are ultimately grateful. And sitting in a cottage sipping warm coffee and looking out a lake is never a really a hardship, even if it is 6 am (damn toddler).
Highlights include my birthday (although Nate did have a tantrum during dinner), Cathi's birthday and good old small town shopping (dollar store!). I've gained 8 lbs since arriving here (chili dogs, ribs, pizza, steak and dessert every night!) but it's worth it.
Heading off to Canada Day at the local fairgrounds - can you say "high school flashbacks?"

Aunt Cathi accepts my bet and wears the shower cap from the dollar store to the parking lot. As it turns out, it was raining and served her well.
