The land of family and Christmas time ...
We're in the land of family and Christmas time. What could be better?!
Trip here wasn't bad at all ... turns out that a 2.5 year old and a 1.5 year old are much, much better than having a baby around. Yes, they're active (i.e. hard to hold on your lap on a plane) but they don't need to breastfeed! They eat on the go! They don't absolutely die if their nap is delayed!
It's amazing.
We had some close calls (plane was 1.5 hr delayed but our gate had a kids play area, our rental got a flat but we made it to my parents without having to change a tire, Nathan is getting about 6 teeth at the same time but managed to keep his cool) but it went very, very smoothly overall.
And now we're visiting family, eating rich food, visiting friends, eating sweet food, visiting old neighbourhoods (mistake!), drinking tasty drinks ...
I may not go back.
