Me: Sweetie, I'm not going to "snuggle" you to sleep for naps anymore. I'm going to go downstairs and do some work. You need to practice going to sleep on your own at nap-time.

Mela: Hmm. Mama, I have a present for you [she says this when she's stalling for time]. And if you go downstairs, you won't get it. But if you stay and snuggle me, you can have it.

Here's a tip. If you're tired of being with the kids all day and have run out of things to do and Daddy's stuck at work, just get them to line up one end of your house and race. They burn energy and all you have to do is sit in the kitchen and yell, "Ready, set, go!" every couple minutes. The fun can last for hours!
