Change has come
Mela walked into the room today and pointed at the t.v.
"Da?"
I looked at the screen.
"That's the president, sweetie."
And I thought about the world my children have been born into. How much it has changed. How much it will still change during their lives.
Some of the changes will be bad.
But some of the changes are very, very good.
Mela thought about why I was blubbering about some skinny guy when all she wanted was to watch some Dora.
p.s. Here are some pics. We're slowly getting better but it's painful. Nathan continues to be the unhappiest baby on the block.

Even the magic swing can't soothe a baby with mysterious colic pain:
Mela pulls up a cushion and settles in to watch some Dora:
Nathan enjoys some assisted tummy time:
Hard at work on picture removal (you know he's serious when the tongue is out!):
Don't look now but somebody's getting CHUBBY!
This position helps Nathan feel better ... though it does look ridiculous:
Mela as the joker (it's beet juice):
