Happy Mother's Day!
To all the mothers, "old" and new, happy mother's day! Now that I know how much goes into the job, I have MUCH more respect for it!
We're headed to the zoo tomorrow for our annual mother's day tradition. Can't wait to see Mela's reaction to some of the animals, although at this point she seems to be more delighted by the mundane (dandelions were a big hit today) than the exotic.
Not much is new here ... Mela had a tough week, with lots of irritability and a fever Thursday night, but the cause isn't totally clear. She's currently experiencing (all at the same time): a cumulative lack of sleep (naps haven't been great lately), a new tooth, a cold, and it's been 12 days since her measles/mumps/rubella vaccine (which apparently can cause fever).
All we know is that our little monkey is currently missing in action and has been replaced by Ms. AJ Cranky-Pants. Hopefully it'll get better in the next couple days; it's especially hard when you only see her at the end of the day and that's when she's the most prone to meltdowns.
Haven't really taken any photos (mostly just unhappiness) but here are some from dinner tonight. I've been trying to introduce more "family" food, which is 1) not always well received, and 2) very messy.
