Mother's Day / Zoo!
Trip to the zoo today was great although some elements worked against us (colder than expected, a little crowded, more pregnant than expected, etc).
Mela was predictably excited by things like flowers while quietly confused by things like otters and camels. Her favourite attraction was probably the people - we were trying to get her to look at tigers and she was too busy being fascinated by the diversity of the human species.
One fun exhibit in particular, though, was the giraffes (we thought of you, Mary!) - one came over right in front of us to eat and Mela showed some keen interested.
She did well, considering she only got about 10 minutes sleep in the morning. By the end, she was so tired, though, she just conked out right in the stroller. We both came home and slept for 2 and 1/2 hours!
