Happy C Day: Old friends, head bumps, and pink margaritas

Had a lovely visit with our O-town friends!

Kat, Jonny and Baby Avery came to town for a Canada Day visit. It was our first time (finally) meeting Avy-Loo and she more than held her own in a house of baby cuteness.

Nathan gave his highest compliment when, on the last day, he leaned forward and tried his signature move (the head bump). I'm not sure Avery really appreciated the affection but I almost died from the sweetness.

Best of all, the visit was a great stress-reliever: telling stories with an old friend, having huge laughs and drinking margaritas (pink lemonade version - what would Uncle Nick say?!). Even though we haven't really seen each other that much over the past few years, it was like not even a day had past.

Except we'd both built up some great stories to share.

Nothing like motherhood to produce some hilariously embarrassing tales ... the one where I wet my pants in public always gets a laugh.
