Waiting for the dynamite to go ... BOOM!

Babies often defy common logic.

For example, who knew it was possible to eat:
  • two jars of baby food a day (ravenously!)
  • a couple of slices of banana or pear a day
  • breastfeed every couple of hours around the clock
... and not poop anything out for seven days??

It's like a really gross, scary magic trick.

We've been hiding in fox holes here, waiting for the Toronto Explosion of '09.

Days ticked by, the weekend came and went, my parents came to stay, and still nothing. At first, I was glad for the break from dirty diapers but then it became like a horrible game of Hot Potato.

Things finally started moving today, thank god.

And now, of course, it won't stop.

Just thought I'd share these treasured moments.

Pretty happy for someone so blocked:
Nathan reads a book:
Mela enjoys Nathan's toys more than he does sometimes:
Dolly + V8 juice kisses = horror movie prop!
Nathan finally gets Sophie into his mouth! Let the long, happy relationship begin:
Nathan finally gets his Christmas present from Great-Grandma:
Playing with "Nathan's" train set:
Fun times with the Grandparents:
Grandpa takes a break from babysitting:
Mela models the latest fashions from Aunt Cathi:

I can't believe I totally forgot to ask if the Asian outfit fit. FANTASTIC! She looks so grown up! Isn't it ridiculously GORGEOUS?!

Love the train set, great find!

Yay happy eating Nate!

It fit PERFECTLY! I have to take a good picture of the back ... it's sooo nice.

I need to figure out the right event for it though ... little dressy for sitting around, playing with trains.

p.s. love that you always comment!

It's always nice to know that someone is reading your blog, I think - plus it sometimes motivates people to blog more, hint hint.
Is BaNa wearing the giraffe jammies in that one pic? I missed it the first time. SO FREAKING CUTE. He looks like a little ducky, for some reason.

He IS wearing giraffe pjs (how can you tell)! They're soooo cute. They're so snugly, you just want to cuddle him the whole time he's wearing them. I want to do a photo shoot of him wearing those pajamas.

It is nice to know that people are reading. Hint, hint, grandmas!
